LETTER OF EXPLANATION

Pausing job cum continuing study' this daunting challenge strikes fear into the hearts of many, especially those like myself who are already firmly entrenched in rewarding jobs. As an experienced seller, my decision to switch courses has not been a light one, but I have committed to it with firm resolve to pursue my passions and goals. After over 2 years of assessing life from a macro perspective, I am now motivated to pursue a Diploma degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications Management to make my undertakings more specific, practical, and meaningful.

FAMILY BACKGROUND

I live in a family of five people including myself. My father (Mr.................) and my mother (Mrs. ...............) have been working as fish traders. I have one younger brother (Mr. ............... ) and one younger sister (Ms. ................), they are all students.

My family has some income's sources as follows:
1. From my parent's job:

My parents have been working in fish business for decades. They are in a large way of baby fish farming in order to supply for seafood processing company. My parent order a large number of baby fish to farming. For two baby fish sales contracts on February 22, 2016, my parents signed two contracts with Lac Hong Company Limited (with company's representative is Mr Hoang Duong Hai) to bulk purchase with the value of contracts are VND 411,000,000 and VND 138,644,000. My parents are main suppliers of Binh Phuoc Seafood Processing Company Limited. For example, under fish sales contract No.20/2016/HĐ on September 26, 2016, my parents sold finished fish for Binh Phuoc Seafood Processing Company Limited with VND 1,669,000,000 value contract. For supporting, I enclosed: Fish salees Contract, Goods purchase contract, Goods sales contract. Based on an effective business method, my parents earn around 85.000.000 VND monthly.

2. From my job:

I have been employed at FPT Digital Retail Joint Stock Company as Sales Staff since July 21, 2014. Because the proceeds of the sale were fairly good, my job offers a good salary with the income of VND 8,567,456 monthly ( with salary on September, October and November was VND 8,582,549 and VND 8,403 062 and VND 8,716,786 respectively). I attached: Working contract, Application for certification of working process, Social insurance book and Account statement.

STUDY PURPOSE AND PLAN

The motivations for me to pursue the Advertising and Marketing Communications Management program at Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Tehnology can be summarized as below:
My choice of this course is motivated by the my current job. In 2014, with good degree of associate, I had no direction career. I did not feel pigeonholed or stuck in a accouting field, I wanted to found a job to open the doors towards my desired career. As a resut, I has been working at FPT Digital Retail Joint Stock Company as Sales Staff. With more than 2 experienced years in selling field, I know that I lack the marketing skill required for this job. The marketing skill shortage is having a detrimental effect on business efficiency. I want not only to know who the sales employee but eventually to be recognized as professional selling expert with well-knowledge in advertising and marketing skills. Upon receiving this acknowledgment of my work I would like to carry on my penchant for sales field, as this Advertising and Marketing is gaining increasing importance, in all aspects and is having significant impact on almost all industries and all areas of society. There is an ample scope to prove one's ability, competence and intelligence in this revolutionary and potentially very beneficial advertising and marketing. My work has helped me develop a thorough insight into return to the academic world for further growth. It has given me the confidence to pursue a Diploma's degree and also kindled a desire to do advertising and marketing. This career with open prospects has given me constant incentive to improve myself and to gain more knowledge. Perhaps some of my greatest attributes is that I am smart, hardworking, and inquisitive. I am always willing to learn and I appreciate every opportunity to learn new things or old ones differently. I am extrovert and dynamic and creative , which makes me confident that advertising and marketing is the path I want to tread.

Canada is a symbol of business excellence. As advertising and marketing skills and excellence cannot be achieved without excellent education, it is therefore a promising destination for higher education. I chose Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Tehnology because of its great reputation, its renowned academic excellence, and good industry links as well as flexible postgraduate schemes. I look forward to being a part of a renowned institution as your institution. I firmly believe that the right education in the right school will open doors of advancement in my chosen field of study.

Morever, my motherland Vietnam boasts a long history of 4,000 years; but it still needs lots of improvements and innovation in term of advertising and marketing. In the 21st century, Vietnam is in face of infinite opportunities and challenges; definitely, advertising and marketing play a significant role in the future development of the society. How to make advertising and marketing industry keep pace with the international development and how to absorb advanced technology experience in western countries and combine it with the domestic status quo to work out proper guideline and principles suitable for quality business have become problems calling for great attentions and urgent solutions. As a major of Advertising and Marketing Communications Management, I understand deeply what needed to be done for Vietnam's businesses to keep up with the fast race of international competitors, and I have got affection towards the mainland of our country. After completing the Advertising and Marketing Communications Management course, I will return to Vietnam. I want to devote my youth and enthusiasm to build my country. In 2017, Vietnam is a developing country, however, Vietnam can become developed country in the near future. There is no brain drain I can take.

My study plan in Canada includes:
• General Arts & Science – English for Academic Purposes Program: 6 months from March 01, 2017 to August 31, 2017 at Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Tehnology
• Advertising and Marketing Communications Management program: 3 years from September 01, 2017 to April 30, 2020 at Mohawk College of Applied Arts and Tehnology

FINANCIAL ABILITY

1. Asset owned:

My parent legally own assets as follows:

• 100% ownership of a house at Binh Minh Commune, Khoai Chau District, Hung Yen province. The land lot is No.143, 144 and 145, map number is 19. Book No. BP 102321.
• My parents have total of VND 3,100,000,000 deposited at AC bank and VietinBank. The money has been accumulated during years of their hard working. We earn a good bank interest from it. The saving amount may also be used to pay for my study in case my parents earn less from their work.

2. Monthly income:

My parent have prepared enough money to sponsor the study of myself. Our family has two sources of finance that can be used to pay for my study, which include 1) earning from parent' work and 2) bank interest from saving book. The details for 2017 are as follows:
